U4 - U8 Teams

For our U4, U5, U6, U7, and U8 teams, each team will play 2 games during tournament weekend. Girls teams will play on Saturday and boys teams will play on Sunday. All games are loaded into your demosphere app schedule.

U9, U10, U12 & U14 Teams

U9, U10, U12, and U14 teams will play a minimum of 3 games over the weekend with two games on Saturday and at least one on Sunday.  A couple U14 teams will play FRIDAY night to balance the schedule.

For the U9, U10 and U12 teams, Sunday game times and matchups will be determined based on results from Saturday's games in pool play. Once matchups are set, your demosphere schedule will be updated and emails will be sent out and posted.

Note: Some pools and teams have their first Sunday games already set based on number of teams in the pool, while others do not yet. If you do not see a game for Sunday, July 14th in your schedule, you are part of the pool play bracket that has not had opponents determined yet, but below are the times you will play.

U14 Boys & Girls groups will be a straight round robin play and champion crowned based on points. All those games are loaded into Demosphere App schedule.

>>

Guest Players must be pre-approved by the tournament director by no later than Thursday, July 11.  Guest players MAY NOT BE Select players (from Fondy or any other Club) from the 2023-2024 season.

  • Guest players may be requested IF a team will have less than 2 subs for the majority of their games, or less than a full team for a game.
  • If a team has guest players and more than 2 subs at the game, it may be deemed a forfeit per tournament rules.
  • Any unreported guest players will result in forfeited matches.

Points

Please work through team’s coach or manager for questions or clarifications regarding standings and tie breaker scenarios at Tournament Headquarters. (No points are awarded for U6 – U8 games).

  • 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie (including 0-0), 0 points for a loss
  • 1 per goal, up to 4 goals. (4 points maximum)
  • 2 points for a shutout.
  • Tie Breakers -- Preliminary Round (If three teams or more are tied, the procedures listed below will be used in the following order: (Note: If one of the procedures results in one team being eliminated and two remaining, the two-team tiebreaker procedure as stated restarts beginning with #1 (Head-to-Head):

· 1. Head-to-head

· 2. Team with most wins

· 3. Goal Differential (goals scored minus goals allowed) with a maximum of three per game. (A score of 4-2 is a goal differential of 2, a score of 4-0 is a goal differential of 3. Team winning 3 games 4-2, 4-0, 7-1 would have a goal differential of 2+3+3 = 8).

· 4. Fewest goals allowed

· 5. Most goals scored

· 6. "Kicks from the Mark" (Penalty kicks).

· In the event that penalty kicks must be used, USYSA/FIFA rules will be followed.

§Each team will select 5 players to kick from those that were on the field at the end of regulation. The goalie for the shoot-out must be on the field at the end of regulation. Teams will alternate kicks --the visiting team shoots first. If the score remains tied after 5 kicks, teams will alternate kicks one at a time until a winner is determined. All eligible players must be used before anyone can repeat. Both teams must use the same number of players before anyone can repeat.

• Championship games tied at the end of regulation goes directly to penalty kicks.
